Subscriber & Follower Growth Calculator
Estimate how long a subscriber, follower, or custom audience goal may take, then see 30-, 90-, 180-day and one-year projections.
What this calculator does
Audience goals are easier when you separate remaining people from the pace you actually add them. Fixed mode uses a constant daily or monthly net gain. Percentage mode compounds that rate each period.
Who should use it
YouTube subscribers, TikTok or Instagram followers, newsletter lists, or a custom label. Pair it with watch time and CTR when you are planning a growth sprint.
How to use it
Enter current and target counts. Choose subscribers, followers, or a custom word. Pick daily or monthly growth, or switch to percentage compounding. If the target is already reached, the tool says so. Zero growth is reported as unreachable.
Formula
Remaining = Target − Current
Fixed daily: days = Remaining / Daily growth · Fixed monthly: months = Remaining / Monthly growth
Percentage: each period multiplies the current audience by (1 + rate). Projections are estimates, not guarantees.
Worked example
1,000 current subscribers, 2,000 target, 25 new subscribers per day: remaining is 1,000, so 40 days. The 30-day projection is 1,750; 90 days would already be past 2,000 if that pace held.
How to read the results
Time-to-goal assumes net growth stays at the rate you typed (gains minus unfollows). Charts, when shown, are a simple linear or compound sketch — not a forecast model with seasonality.
Assumptions and platform notes
Platforms count subscribers and followers with their own spam and inactivity filters. A viral week can dwarf a 25/day average; a quiet month can undershoot it. Percentage compounding assumes the rate applies to the growing base every period.
Common mistakes
Using gross new follows while ignoring unfollows. Setting a target below the current count and expecting a countdown. Treating a one-week spike as a permanent daily rate.
Frequently asked questions
How long to reach a follower goal?
Remaining ÷ daily net growth. 1,000 remaining at 25 per day is 40 days.
What if growth is a percentage?
Each period multiplies the current count by (1 + rate). Real growth is rarely a perfect compound curve.
What if I already passed the target?
The calculator reports that the goal is already reached and still shows forward projections from the current count.
